Every organization in the world craves a high performance culture and high performing individuals. Many, if not most organizations seek to mandate and/or incentivise high performance. This is largely a waste of time and money. Performance is a matter of personal choice. The role of leaders in organizations is to create the conditions for high performance where individuals have a real choice to make. A key to creating conditions for high performance is building a culture of Ownership, Commitment and Accountability. This type of culture speaks a new language, asks different questions, engages in new conversations, asks for sacrifice and expects contributions to the ‘whole.’
